Overview

Based in Dubai, Artemis works closely with government bodies, federations, councils, and clubs to deliver custom-built solutions that streamline operations and ensure alignment with national goals.

The Situation

Working across three core software products simultaneously:


Facility Management Software: Built to help facility management companies and academies manage booking, maintenance, and utilisation of sports venues and infrastructure. - Academy Management Software: Designed to help academies streamline athlete onboarding, session planning, progress tracking, and reporting.

The UAE Talent ID Platform: A national-level solution built for the Ministry of Sport's Talent Committee to support talent identification, and performance insights across the country.

The Challenge

When I joined the team as a product designer, the hardest part of this project wasn't any single screen, it was designing one coherent system that worked for completely different user types with different needs, contexts, and technical literacy. A parent on a phone booking a swim session and a government analyst reviewing multi-entity dashboards needed to feel like the same product family without compromising either experience.

My Approach

For the parent-facing app specifically, I designed around [multi-athlete, multi-sport, multi-venue booking — a genuinely non-trivial flow since a single parent might be managing schedules for multiple kids across different sports and locations]. For the government dashboards, the priority shifted to [data density, multi-entity comparison, and at-a-glance athlete/coach tracking across the broader ecosystem].

Beyond the website, I also implemented lead capture automation and CRM integration using HAL simplify’s internal CRM tool and also Lemlist, so that design wasn't just generating interest but feeding directly into a system the sales team could act on.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designed a parent facing app that includes athlete profile creation, assessment booking, term booking, programme management, news feed and chat for internal communication, athlete profile management and an in-app store.

  • Designed a staff facing app for scheduling, athlete management, attendance tracking, staff check-in/check-out

  • UAETSS Dashboard - Email template creation functionality and Athlete Invitation

  • Assisted the senior product designer with refining over 100+ screens across both the products

The Outcome

The product is currently adopted by 5 academies and the UAETSS platform is used as a standard platform to digitalise sports and athlete management all across UAE.
